6. Fully extend the inner slides from the front of each outer bracket rail .
With these pieces extended, a screw hole towards the rear, aligns in the
rack mounting bracket and the outer bracket rail for each assembly.

Fasten the outer bracket rail to the rack mounting bracket with a 8-32 x
1/4-inch slotted screw. Do not tighten screws until all three screws have
been lined up on each assembly. (Do not use nuts or washers with the
screw.) See step
of the following figure. Repeat for the second
assembly.

Push in the inner slide on each set till about only 1 1/2-inches remains
extended. Push in the locking clip on the slide if it keeps the rail from
sliding in. This allows access to the next screw hole. The hole is towards
the front of the outer bracket aligns through the outer bracket rail and the
rack mounting bracket. Use one more 8-32 x 1/4-inch slotted screw to
fasten the outer bracket rail to the rack mounting bracket
. See steps of
the following figure. Repeat for the second assembly.

Fully extend the inner slides from the front of each outer bracket rail.
Also fully extend towards the front the ball bearing slide located in the
inner slide
. With these pieces extended, a screw hole towards the
center aligns in the rack mounting bracket and the outer bracket rail for
each assembly.
10.
Fasten the outer bracket rail to the rack mounting bracket with a 8-32 x
1/4-inch slotted screw.
(Do not use nuts or washers with the screw.) See
step
of the following figure. Repeat for the second assembly.
The following figure shows inserting the screws into the appropriate holes. The
screws line up with the holes in the rack mounting bracket.
CAUTION: The outer bracket rails must be mounted on the inside
holes of the rack mounting bracket or the server will sit too high
in the rack.
