Adding Memory to the ProLiant
1850R Server
You can expand server memory by installing Compaq DIMMs (Dual Inline
Memory Modules). The system supports up to four Registered SDRAM DIMMs
installed in slots on the System Board. Memory can be added one module at a
time.
You must observe the following guidelines when installing additional memory:
DIMMs installed in the ProLiant 1850R server must be 100-MHz
registered SDRAM, 3.3-volts, 72-bits wide, and ECC.
All DIMMs installed must be of the same speed, for example, all
100-MHz.
The server is shipped with at least one DIMM in DIMM socket 1
(system board connector J12).
DIMMs should be installed in sequential order starting with DIMM
socket 1.
