Changing the switch type in Windows XP
Throughout this chapter it is assumed that you are logged on to a Windows XP
Home Edition or Professional system as a local Administrator. If you are not
logged on as a local Administrator, you may not be able to perform all the steps
outlined in this chapter.
To change the switch type in Windows XP Home Edition and Professional, do the
following:
1. Click Start -> Control Panel to open the Control Panel.
2. Double-click the icon labeled Performance and Maintenance
.
In the window that opens, double-click the System icon to open the System
Properties. Click the Hardware tab, then the Device Manager button.
