SMS Alert ($QCSMSA)
Syntax
$QCSMSA[=<alert>|?|=?]
Description
This command sets whether the DTE is “alerted” of the
arrival of a new SMS message. This “Alert” takes the form of
sending an unsolicited result code (
SMS) out the Rm interface
to the DTE (much the same as a RING indication for incoming
calls). The destination port for the
SMS result code is the active
AT command port.

Result Code Description
OK The requested operation was successful.
ERROR If an illegal value is detected or any error
associated with changing the value of the LOCK
flag.
0 Asynchronous messaging will be turned OFF.
1 Asynchronous messaging will be turned ON.
Result Code Condition
OK <alert> is recognized and supported.
ERROR <alert> is not supported and ignored.
