Use the rule command to add a rule to an administrative profile.
Use the no form of this command to delete a rule.

This command has no user guidelines.

Parameter Description
number The sequence number of the rule. Rules are applied from the
highest sequence number to the lowest. Range: 1 to 256.
command-string Specifies which commands to permit or deny. The command-
string may contain spaces and regular expressions. Range: 1 to
128 characters). Regular expressions should conform to Henry
Spencer’s implementation of the POSIX 1003.2 specification.
NOTE: In this usage, the beginning and end of line meta-
characters have no meaning.
mode-name The name of the CLI mode to which the profile will permit or
deny access.
