Removing and installing the processor air baffle
3 Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two captive screws on the faceplate securing
the top cover to the server case.
4 When the screws are loose, slide the top cover toward the back of the case about ½
inch.
5 Lift the top cover away from the server and place it out of the way.

The processor air baffle must be removed to:
■ Remove or install a processor thermal blank
■ Remove or install a processor
■ Remove or install a processor cache VRM converter
■ Remove or install a CD or DVD drive
■ Remove or install the system board
