The IP Messaging service provides voicemail and unified messaging
services to users.
Verifying IP
Messaging Service
Status
To verify the status of the IP Messaging service:
1 Log in to the server hosting the IP Messaging service using the app
account.
2 Enter the following commands:
cd /opt/3com/VCX/scripts/rc3.d
./S60ums status
Starting the IP
Messaging Service
To start the IP Messaging service:
1 Log in to the server hosting the IP Messaging service using the app
account.
2 Enter the following commands:
cd /opt/3com/VCX/scripts/rc3.d
./S60ums start
Stopping the IP
Messaging Service
To stop the IP Messaging service:
1 Log in to the server hosting the IP Messaging service using the app
account.
2 Enter the following commands:
cd opt/3com/VCX/scripts/rc3.d
./S60ums stop
Restarting the IP
Messaging Service
To restart the IP Messaging service:
1 Log in to the server hosting the IP Messaging service using the app
account.
2 Enter the following commands:
cd /opt/3com/VCX/scripts/rc3.d
./S60ums restart
