show 802.1x auth_state
Purpose Used to display the current authentication state of the 802.1x server on
the Switch.
Syntax
show 802.1x auth_state {ports [<portlist> | all]}
Description
The show 802.1x auth_state command is used to display the current
authentication state of the 802.1x Port-based Network Access Control
server application on the Switch.
The following details what is displayed:
Port number Shows the physical port number on the Switch.
Auth PAE State: Initialize / Disconnected / Connecting / Authenticating /
Authenticated / Held / ForceAuth / ForceUnauth Shows the current
state of the Authenticator PAE.
Backend State: Request / Response / Fail / Idle / Initialize / Success /
Timeout Shows the current state of the Backend Authenticator.
Port Status: Authorized / Unauthorized Shows the result of the
authentication process. Authorized means that the user was
authenticated, and can access the network. Unauthorized means that
the user was not authenticated, and cannot access the network.
Parameters
ports <portlist> Specifies a range of ports. The port list is specified by
listing the lowest switch number and the beginning port number on that
switch, separated by a colon. Then highest switch number, and the
highest port number of the range (also separated by a colon) are
specified. The beginning and end of the port list range are separated by
a dash. For example, 3 would specify port 3. 4 specifies port 4. 3-4
specifies all of the ports between port 3 and port 4 in numerical order.
all – Denotes all ports on the Switch
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
