Chapter 6 Preparing KIRK Handset for Use
This section provides information about how to prepare the KIRK Handset for use, to install and
charge the battery and how to retrieve the serial numbers on the different KIRK Handsets.

6.1 Unpacking
6.1.1 Inspect for Damage
1 Inspect the shipping carton for evidence of physical damage or mishandling prior to opening.
2 Inspect all parts for damage.
3 Report any damage to the carrier immediately.
4 If it is necessary to make a damage claim for the carrier, do not move the shipping carton until
it has been examined by a representative of the carrier.
5 Dispose of empty cartons in accord with local regulations.
6.1.2 Unpacking the Shipping Container

• Handset User’s Guide
