Option Cards
Four kinds of option cards are available for your printer:
• Internal print server option card
• Tri-Port interface option card
• Hard disk option
• Parallel/USB interface option card
Note: Only one option card
can be installed in your printer at
atime.
Refer to the documentation that is included with each
option card for detailed information about that specific
card.
Theinstallationinstructionsarethesameforeachtypeof
option card; therefore, they are grouped together. Installa-
tion instructions begin on page 216.
Internal Print Server
(Internal Network
Adapter or INA)
An optional internal print server lets you connect your
printer to a local area network (LAN). You can install one
printserverinyourprinter.ThereareMarkNet
TM
cards
available to support the following topologies:
• Ethernet (100BaseTX, 10BaseT, 10Base2)
• Token-Ring (DB9 or RJ45)
Internal print servers have a similar size and shape. Make
sure the network port on the card corresponds to your net-
work cable requirements. Refer to the documentation that
came with the print server for more information.
