(1) Lift the ADF cover release
lever (A1) to open the ADF
cover.
(2) Remove the jammed docu-
ment. If the document cannot
be removed, go to step 2.

(1) Open the inside cover (A2).
(2) Gently pull out the jammed
document.
If the document cannot be re-
moved, go to step 3.
If the document jams, an alarm will sound and a message will be displayed. Remove the pa-
per carefully, following the procedure.

Open & Check the
Blinking Cover.
If the document is caught
in the roller, do not at-
tempt to pull it out, but
proceed to step 3.

If the document cannot be easily pulled out, do not force it. Turn the dial to discharge the paper. Forcefully
pulling the document out may cause it to tear.
