Cleaning platen cover

Open the platen cover.

Dip a soft cloth in water and
wring it out thoroughly before
wiping the platen cover and cov-
er pad.
A dirty platen cover plate or cover pad will cause black lines or other unwanted markings printed
in copies or the received document by receiving party. To maintain high picture quality, clean the
platen cover plate and cover pad at least once a month.
When the dirt is heavy,
first use a small quantity
of a mild cleaning solu-
tion to wipe, and then
wipe again using a cloth
dipped in water and thor-
oughly wrung out.
