The
RESET
secondary menu gives you the option of
resetting all memory (including default settings) or
resetting the default settings while preserving other data
stored in memory, such as programs and
Y=
functions.
Resetting all memory on the TI
-
83 restores memory to the
factory settings. It deletes all nonsystem variables and all
programs. It resets all system variables to the default
settings.
Tip:
Before you reset all memory, consider restoring sufficient
available memory by deleting only selected data (page 18
.
3).
To reset all memory on the TI
-
83, follow these steps.
1. Press
y
[
MEM
] to display the
MEMORY
menu.
2. Select
5:Reset
to display the
RESET
secondary menu.
3. Select
1:All Memory
to display the
RESET MEMORY
tertiary menu.
4. Read the message below the
RESET MEMORY
menu.
To cancel memory reset and return to the home
screen, select
1:No
.
To erase from memory all data and programs, select
2:Reset
. All factory defaults are restored.
Mem cleared
is displayed on the home screen.
Note:
When you clear memory, the contrast sometimes changes. If
the screen is faded or blank, adjust the contrast (Chapter 1).
