Router OSPF Context
L You can only access these command in the “Router-OSPF” context.
Type router ospf at the command prompt to enter the “Router -OSPF”
context if necessary.
area
User level: privileged, supervisor.
Use the area command to configure the area ID of the router.
Use the no area command to deleted the area ID of the router (set it to 0) and
remove the stub definition.
The default area is 0.0.0.0.
L You cannot define a stub area when OSPF is redistributing other protocols or
when the Area ID is 0.0.0.0.
The syntax for this command is:
[no] area <area id> [<stub>]
Example:
network
User level: privileged, supervisor.
Use the network command to enable OSPF in this network.
Use the no network command to disable OSPF in this network.
The default is disabled.
The syntax for this command is:
network <net addr> [<wildcard-mask> [area <area id>]]
area id IP address
stub Stub
Router-N(configure router:ospf)# area 192.168.49.1
Router-N(configure router:ospf)# area 192.168.49.1 stub
net addr IP address
wildcard-mask Wildcard mask address
