Turning the Printer ON/OFF
The power switch to turn the printer ON or OFF is located on the left side of the
printer. Be sure to observe the following instructions in order to prevent unexpected
problems.
Turning the Printer ON
Press in the power switch to turn the printer ON. After running a self-diagnostic test,
the printer will be ready to print.
IMPORTANT
•
Do not turn ON the printer immediately after turning it OFF. After turning OFF the printer,
wait for 3 seconds or longer before turning it ON again.

If the printer does not operate properly, or an error message appears in the Printer Status
Window, see "Troubleshooting," on p. 7-1.

The printer is ON when the power switch is depressed.
