Paper Jams

Troubleshooting
7
• When removing jammed paper, be careful not to get loose toner on your hands
or clothing. If toner gets on your hands or clothing, wash it off immediately with
cold water. Using warm water may fix the toner to your hands or clothing,
making it difficult to remove.
• Remove jammed paper carefully so that the unfixed toner on the paper may not
scatter. The toner may get into your eyes or mouth. If toner gets into your eyes
or mouth, wash it away immediately and consult a physician.
• When removing jammed paper, be careful not to cut your hands with the edges
of paper.
IMPORTANT
•
Applying excess force may result in tearing the paper or damaging the printer. When
removing the paper, pull the paper in the proper direction judging from the position of the
paper.
•
If paper is torn, be sure to find and remove any remaining portions.
•
The error message may remain if jammed paper is removed without opening the upper
cover. In this case, open and close the upper cover.
