Load and Output of the Paper

Gently load the stack of paper with the printing side facing up
until it touches the back of the tray.
Be sure that the paper stack is loaded under the paper limit guides.
CAUTION
When loading paper, be careful not to cut your hands with the edges of the
paper.
IMPORTANT
•
The maximum amount of paper that can be loaded in the multi-purpose tray may
vary depending on the paper type. For more details, see "Printable Paper," on p.
2-2.

Confirm that there is sufficient space between the paper limit guides and the paper
stack. Take out some paper when there is no space.

Load the paper stack straight.
•
If the rear edge of the paper stack is not properly aligned, it may result in misfeeds
or paper jams.
•
If the paper is curled or folded at corners, flatten it before loading.
•
Double-feeding may occur frequently if the edges of the paper stack are not aligned
properly. In this case, align the edges of the stack on a hard, flat surface.
