Before You Start Using This Printer

Connect a B-type USB connector (square) to the USB port on
the rear side of the printer.

Connect an A-type USB connector (flat) to the USB port on
the computer.

After connecting the USB cable, install the software for this printer according to the
instructions on the computer screen. For more details, see "Installing the CAPT
Software," on p. 3-4.

If you are not sure about the USB cable that is required for your computer, contact
the dealer where you purchased the computer.
Using a LAN Cable
When an optional network board (AXIS 1611) is installed, a LAN cable can be used
to connect this printer to a network.
NOTE
To use this printer on a network, the printer driver must be configured on the computer to
use a network print server. Refer to the documentation for your operating system or the
accompanying manual for instruction with AXIS 1611 for details of how to configure the
print server and printer driver.
