Installing the CAPT Software
This section describes the procedure for installing the CAPT software when
connecting this printer to the computer with a USB cable.
IMPORTANT
The CAPT software is required for printing with this printer. Be sure to install the CAPT
software.
NOTE
When using this printer on a network, see "Connecting the Printer with the Printer
Sharing Function on a Network," on p. 3-56.
For Windows 98/Me
The screens used are for Windows 98.
Installing from the CD-ROM
IMPORTANT
Do not connect the USB cable before the installation. The installation will be failed.
Connect the USB cable at the appropriate point during the installation (Step 10

p. 3-7).

Press the power switch to turn OFF the printer.

Turn on the computer and start up Windows 98/Me.

Insert the "User Software for LBP-2410" CD-ROM into the
CD-ROM drive.
If the CD-ROM is already in the drive, take it out and insert it again.
The CD-ROM Menu will appear automatically.
IMPORTANT
If the CD-ROM Menu does not appear automatically, select [Run] under the [Start]
menu, enter "D:\English\CNAC1MNU.exe", and click [OK].
(The CD-ROM drive name is indicated as "D:" in this manual. The CD-ROM drive
name may differ depending on the computer being used.)
