Installation Problems
If "USB Class Driver" and "LBP-2410 Printer Driver" cannot be installed properly,
see "Uninstalling the CAPT Software," on p. 3-69 and "Installing the CAPT
Software," on p. 3-4. and install them again.
Problems During Local Installation
[Local Printer]* cannot be selected in the [Add Printer Wizard] dialog box.(Windows 2000/
XP)
Cause Installation is being performed by a user who does not have an Administrator's
authority or Power User's authority.
Remedy An Administrator's authority or User's authority is required for installing the
CAPT (Canon Advanced Printing Technology) software. Have the CAPT
software installed by an authorized person.
*For Windows XP, this is [Local printer attached to this computer].
Problems During Network Installation
The name of the print server or common printer is not listed in the [Common Printer] list box.
Cause 1 The print server has not been started.
Remedy Start the print server.
Cause 2 The common settings are not specified to the printer.
Remedy Specify the common settings for the printer in the [Printer Properties] dialog
box.
Cause 3 The user does not have authority to connect to the print server or printer.
Remedy Ask the network administrator to change the user's authority.
