Cleaning the Printer
Clean the printer when dust or dirt attaches on the outer surfaces. When cleaning
the printer, be careful of the following points in order to prevent electrical shocks or
printer malfunctions.
WARNING
• When cleaning the printer, first turn OFF the main power switch, then unplug the
power cord. Failure to observe these steps may result in a fire or electrical
shock.
• Clean the printer using a slightly dampened cloth with a mild detergent mixed
with water. Do not use alcohol, benzene, paint thinner, or other flammable
substances. Check detergent for flammability prior to use. If flammable
substances come into contact with a high-voltage area inside the printer, it may
result in a fire or electrical shock.
IMPORTANT
•
Be careful not to use a cleaning agent other than water or a mild detergent mixed with
water as it may deform or crack the plastic materials in the printer.
•
When using a mild detergent, be sure that it is mixed with water.
•
Grease or oil does not have to be applied to this printer. Be sure not to apply grease or
