The Output Stacker can be held at three positions, as shown.

When storing printed documents on the Output Stacker
Use position (1).
•
When the Output Stacker is not used
Use position (2).
•
When printing on large, stiff sheets
Use position (3).
•
When performing large-format printing such as banners or if you will not use the Output Stacker for an
extended period
Lower it to position (3) for storage. (See "Storing the Output Stacker.") ➔P.369
When you are performing large-format printing or printing on delicate paper, it is recommended that you
spread a clean cloth or paper on the floor and select Eject as the method for cutting roll paper to prevent that
printing from becoming soiled or scratched. (See "Specifying the Cutting Method for Rolls.") ➔P.351
