Recovering from a Lost Password
If the Off & Lock option is not active and you forget or lose your password, you can delete
the password from your SPT 1700 terminal. Deleting a lost password also deletes all
entries and files marked as Private.
Important:
If you synchronize with your computer before deleting a lost password, your
SPT 1700 terminal restores your private entries the next time you perform a HotSync
operation, but it does not restore the password.
To delete a lost password:
1. Tap the
Lost Password
button in the Security screen to open the Delete Password
dialog.
2. Tap the
Yes
button to delete the password, as well as all records and entries
marked “Private.”
