Using the Manual Paper Feeder
To load a single envelope, card stock, or specialty paper, use
the manual paper feeder. When you use the manual feeder,
you must feed one piece of media at a time. Manual feeding
is helpful when printing on heavy paper or when experiencing
paper jams with the type of media in the automatic paper
feeder.
NOTES:
• Make sure that you select the Manual for Paper Source
and the correct paper size and type from your printer
driver before starting your print job.
• When you use the manual paper feeder, paper must be
loaded in the automatic paper feeder. By doing so, you
can prevent a paper jam which might occur in the manual
feeder.

Place the print media in the manual feeder with print
side facing forward and adjust the paper guides to the
width of the print media.
