Fax and Copy Operations
Automatic Redialing
If the number you have dialed is busy or there is no answer,
the machine will automatically redial the number every three
minutes up to a maximum of two times.
The display shows “RETRY REDIAL?.” If you want to redial the
number immediately, press
the Start/Enter button
. To cancel
redialing, press the
Stop
button.
Last Number Redialing
With a document loaded in the feeder, press the
Redial/
Pause
button, the machine redials the last number and
begins to transmit.
The redial memory in your machine retains the last 10
numbers called. The WorkCentre Pro 580 does not count the
duplicates.

Press and hold the
Redial/Pause
button for about 2
seconds. “REDIAL PRESS , ” is displayed.

Press or to search through the memory until you
find the desired number.

When the number you desire number appears in the
display, press
the Start/Enter button
to commence
dialing. If a document is loaded in the automatic
document feeder, transmission begins when the remote
machine answers the call.
Sending a Fax After Talking
You can send a fax after talking with a person at the remote
location.

After loading a document, pick up the handset and call
the remote location.
