If a fax signal is not sensed when the machine answers
the call, you will hear a second ringing tone indicating a
voice phone call.

Life the handset to answer the call. If the voice call is
not answered within a specified time, the machine will
switch to automatic fax reception mode.
NOTE:
If DRPD Mode is selected, you must first set DRPD
mode to OFF. See “Setting User-Selectable Features” on
page 3.5.
