Configuring OSPF Parameters and Filters
The Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) internal gateway protocol enables routers to exchange link
state messages by gathering network information and determining the best routing path based on
node distance.
OSPF is a link state protocol rather than a distance vector protocol and, therefore, needs less
bandwidth than RIP. OSPF is enabled and defined by:
