Checking the network operating status
Check the network status.
For details about the checking procedure, refer to "4.7.18 Checking the Network Operating Status"
(page 158).
Check the "Network Information" screen, and follow each action described below according to the
message that is shown.

valid.

The information shown is
not all valid.
If DHCP is not used:
Check that the "IP Address" setting is correct.
If DHCP is used:
z Check that physical network connection to the DHCP
server is functioning correctly.
z Check the DHCP server. The server may not be operating
normally, or the DHCP settings (restricted number of
leases or MAC address validation) may be causing
invalid IP addresses to be assigned.
The information shown is
valid, but pinging indicates
that the network connection
is not functioning normally.
In "4.7.18 Checking the Network Operating Status" (page
158), change the [Link Speed/Duplex Mode] from "Auto-
Negotiation" to a fixed mode.
If the problem persists, refer to "Failure to connect to a
server using its IP address" (page 405) for further solutions.
