ThistopicdescribeshowtoconguretheIPaddressusingARPandPINGcommands.
TousetheARPandPINGcommands,youwillneedtoknowtheprintersMACaddress.Youcanconrm
theMACaddressontheControlPanel.
1.ChecktheprintersMACaddress.
YoucanconrmtheMACaddressontheControlPanelasfollows:
1.PresstheMenubuttontodisplayMAINMENU.
2.PressortoselectInformation,andthenpress.
3.PressortoselectMACAddress,andthenpresstheOKbutton.

YoucaninvestigatetheMACaddressbyprintingaStatusPrintreport.

2.InWindows,openacommandpromptorMS-DOSprompt,orinMacOSX,startTerminal.
3.ExecutethefollowingcommandtoaddentriestotheARPtableformanagingIPaddresses
andcorrespondingMACaddresses.
