Execute the sho w logs command to identify t he component requiring
maintenance.

Confirm t he hardware and s oftw are configurations.

Stop t he entire syste m.

Execute the replacefru command to release the chassis requiring m aintenance
from t he system.
For a single-chassis configuration, you do not have to release the chassis.
Proceed to step 8.

Remove all the power cords from the P SU backplane unit of the chassis
requiring maintenance.

7.4 Removing a CPU Memory Unit
This section describes the procedure for removing a CPU memory unit. Remove the
CPU memory unit lower first, then remove the CPU memory unit upper. Enable the
removal of the CPU memory unit before attempting to remove it. For details, see "7.3
Enabling the Removal of a CPU Memory Unit."
