27.3 Enabling the Removal of an XSCF
DUAL Control Cable
This section describes the preparation that must be completed prior to removing an
XSCF DUAL control cable. The preparation procedure differs depending on the
maintenance type as follows:

Active/Hot maintenance
■
Active/Cold maintenance
■
Inactive/Hot maintenance
■
Inactive/Cold maintenance
■
System-stopped maintenance
27.3.1 Active/Hot maintenance
1.
Open the r ack do or.
2.
Log in to the XSCF s hell.
3.
Execute the sho w log s command to identify th e component requiring
maintenance.
For details, see "3.3.5 Checking log information."
4.
Confirm th e hardware and software configurations.
For details, see "4.2 Confirming the System Configuration."
5.
Execute the sw itchscf command t o switch the master XSCF to a standby
XSCF.
Perform this when the chassis requiring maintenance is operating as a master
chassis.
6.
Execute the replacefru command t o release th e XSCF D U AL control c able
requiring mai nten ance from th e system.
