Removing Misfed Paper

Slide the paper tray back into the
printer until it stops.

Open the front cover, and then
close it to reset the misfeed condi-
tion.
Important
If paper is fed from the bypass
tray, be sure to remove all the
paper from the bypass tray and
close it before opening the front
cover.
When “Remove Misfeed: Open
Front Cover” Appears
Important
Be sure to release the pressure re-
lease levers before removing mis-
fed paper. Otherwise, the printer
might be damaged.
If you can see the misfed paper
when opening the front cover, re-
move the misfed paper from the
front side. If you remove the mis-
fed paper from the output tray, the
unfused toner might make the in-
side of the printer dirty.

Open the front cover by pulling
the front cover release buttons.

Push the blue pressure release le-
vers marked with (A).

WARNING:
If you cannot find the misfed
paper in the output tray

Pull out the misfed paper by
holding both sides of the pa-
per.

fusing unit as it could be very
