AC Power Cord Specifications for an EX8200 Switch
Each AC power supply has a single AC appliance inlet located on the power supply that
requires a dedicated AC power feed. Most sites distribute power through a main conduit
that leads to frame-mounted power distribution panels, one of which can be located at
thetopoftherackthathousestheswitch.AnACpowercordconnectseachpowersupply
to the power distribution panel.
EachdetachableACpowercordis2.5meters(approximately 8feet)long.Theappliance
coupler atthe femaleend of the cordinserts into the ACappliance inlet on the faceplate
of the AC power supply.The coupler type is C19 as described by the International
Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard 60320. The plug at the male end of the
powercordfitsintothepowersourceoutletthatisstandardforyourgeographicallocation.
NOTE: In North America, AC power cords must not exceed 4.5 meters (approximately
15feet)inlength,tocomplywithNationalElectricalCode(NEC)Sections400-8(NFPA
75,5-2.2) and210-52 andCanadianElectricalCode(CEC)Section4-010(3).Thecords
shipped with the switch are in compliance.
