❒ The access range restricts the workstations from which printing is possible by means of an ad-
dress. If you do not need to restrict printing, make the setting “0.0.0.0”.
❒ The entry is invalid if the start address is greater than the end address.
❒ Up to five access ranges can be specified. The entry is invalid if the target number is omitted.
❒ When using a Web browser, telnet or SmartNetMonitor for Client/Admin, you can use an IP ad-
dress that has not been restricted by access control.

msh> access flush

❒ This restores the factory-default settings so that all access ranges become "0.0.0.0".
DHCP
Use the set command to configure the boot method.
msh> set parameter {on|off}
"on" means active and "off" means inactive.

❒ The default is "on".
❒ When you use DHCP, the server also needs to be configured.
❒ DHCP takes precedence over all other settings.
