Configuration Examples
This appendix is designed to provide examples of how some common networking tasks can be
accomplished on the Cisco ASR 1000 Series Routers. The examples in this appendix are provided for
illustrative purposes only; little or no context is given with these examples. See the other chapters in this
book (in particular Chapter 3, “Consolidated Packages and SubPackages Management”), for more
detailed explanations of the examples in this section.
When reading this section, also be aware that networking configurations are complex and can be
configured many ways. The examples in this section simply show one method of accomplishing a
configuration.

Configuring the Router to Boot the Consolidated Package on the
TFTP Server
The following example shows how to configure the router to boot the consolidated package on the TFTP
server:
