The ATM switching service modules (AXSMs) provide either ATM network-to-network interfaces
(NNIs) or ATM user-to-network interfaces (UNIs). The AXSM cards have serial link connections to the
PXM45, providing a data rate of up to 2.488 Gbps per AXSM. Table 1-3 provides compatibility
information for AXSM cards.
Table 2-10 lists interface and backcard information for each AXSM card.
