Using Calendar on Palm OS
Note that application names differ slightly on different devices. On
older Palm devices, the Calendar application is called Date Book. See
Table 4-1, “Application names on different device platforms,” on
page 63.
Working with Calendar events on your desktop and on your device
Because of inherent differences in the way Calendar events are handled
in Lotus Notes vs. your Palm Calendar application, the Calendar
information may be represented differently on the two platforms. For
example, the distinction between the different types of events in Lotus
Notes — Meetings, Appointments, Anniversaries, Reminders, and All
Day Events — is hard to see in your Palm Calendar. You should be aware
of these differences as you work with Calendar events on your device.
Note The differences beteween the way that Lotus Notes and the Palm
Calendar application handle information are most apparent when the
sync Action for Calendar is set to Synchronize the files. If your Calendar
sync Action is set to Desktop Overwrites Handheld, you may never
notice these differences.
