Uninstalling older versions for Pocket PC OS
Follow these instructions to remove both Pylon Conduit and Pylon Pro
for Pocket PC.
To uninstall older versions for Pocket PC OS:
1. Click Start|Settings|Control Panel.
2. Click Add/Remove Programs.
3. Select Pylon for Pocket PC, Desktop Edition (5.3), Pylon for Pocket
PC (4.03C), or Pylon Conduit (4.02C).
4. Click Remove, then click Yes to confirm the uninstall.
5. If you are upgrading to a newer version of Pylon Conduit or Pylon
Pro, you can install the new version now. For instructions, see
“Installing Pylon” (page 39).
Note If you are not upgrading Pylon Conduit or Pylon Pro and you want
to synchronize your device with non-Lotus Notes PIM applications,
after uninstalling Pylon Conduit you will need to re-enable them. To
do this, open Microsoft ActiveSync, click Options, then check the
box beside any applications you wish to sync.
Uninstalling older versions for Palm OS
Follow these instructions to remove both Pylon Conduit and Pylon Pro
for Palm.
To uninstall older versions for Palm:
1. Click Start|Settings|Control Panel.
2. Click Add/Remove Programs.
3. Select Pylon for Palm, Desktop Edition (5.3) or Enterprise for
Lotus Notes (4.0 or lower).
4. Click Remove.
5. During the uninstall process, you may be asked if you want to unin-
stall the files instaide.dll and vb40032.dll. Click No.
Note If you are upgrading to a higher version of Pylon, you can install
that version now. If you are not upgrading Pylon and want use Palm
Desktop instead, you will need to reinstall your Palm Desktop
software at this time.
