Creating device-friendly Notes databases
Desktop User Guide for Pylon Conduit and Pylon Pro, Version 5.4 /203
General design guidelines
The following are some more general guidelines for creating device-
friendly custom databases for use with Pylon Pro.
Only one View and one Form per Pylon Pro database.
Each View may contain up to four columns (additional columns will
be ignored by SmartDesigner).
Each Form may contain up to 128 fields (additional fields will be
ignored by SmartDesigner).
Only non-hidden, editable fields will be copied to the Palm device
Pylon Pro design.
Help text is copied to the Palm device and displayed at the bottom
of Pylon Pro’s Edit View screen.
Time fields will be converted to Palm device Time fields if the
format is set to Show Time. Otherwise, the field will be a date field.
Only hard-coded keyword values are supported. Formulas will be
ignored.
Change the Keywords interface to Checkbox to enable checkboxes.
