Print Modes
The Printers have a large number of print modes. A print mode specifies
how to interpret and put on media a set of bitmap planes, each of which
consists of a sequence of rows. Each mode corresponds to a unique
combination of the following parameters:
D Print resolution (300 dpi, 600 dpi).
D Number of passes per swath.
D Number of advances per swath.
D Number of swaths per advance.
D Print direction (bidirectional).
D Swath height (swath width).
D Carriage speed.
D Smart Area Fill (SAF).
D Print masks.
D Servicing states.
D Multiple dotting (K).
User input to print mode selection consists of the following:
D Choice of media type.
D Choice of print-quality setting (fast, normal, best).
D The language in which the file is received.
D The model of printer used.
D The type of driver (HP or Non-HP)
