24.3.4 Establish FlashCopy relationships for Global Mirror
Once the Global Copy pairs complete their initial replication phase, you must create the
FlashCopy relationships between the B and C volumes; see Figure 24-5.

Because these FlashCopy relationships are part of a Global Mirror configuration, they are
defined with a set of particular attributes; see the discussion in 22.3.4, “Introduce FlashCopy”
on page 257.
Example 24-14 shows a TSO command that is issued at the local site, and upon its inband
propagation to the remote site, establishes the FlashCopy relationship between the B and C
volumes at the remote disk subsystem.
