ADJUSTING BRIGHTNESS
1 Drag the Brightness slide bar to the right to lighten the
printed image up to 50%; slide the bar to the left to darken the
image as much as -50%.
Brightness is a measure of how much white an image
contains. By increasing the brightness, for example, the
printed image appears lighter.
2Click
OK.
ADJUSTING CONTRAST
Contrast is the difference in tone between the dark and the light
areas of an image. Higher contrast yields a greater difference
between the dark and light with fewer gradations of gray between
them.
1 Drag the Contrast slide bar to the right to sharpen the dark
and light areas of the printed image up to 50%; slide the bar
to the left to darken the image as much as -50%.
2Click
OK.
ROTATING IMAGES
1 Check the Rotate 180 degrees box to rotate the page image.
2Click
OK to return to the Print window.
SETTING HALFTONING OPTIONS
Note: This option is available only in the Windows
NT
®
or the
Windows
®
2000/XP operating systems.
1Click Halftoning.
2 Adjust the halftoning options as applicable.
For more information on a specific setting, right-click to
access “What's This” help.
3Click
OK to exit the halftone color adjustment window.
PRINTING POSTSCRIPT ERROR INFORMATION
1Click
PostScript Settings.
2 Check Printing PostScript Error Information to print an error
log if any language translation errors occur during printing.
3Click
OK to return to the properties tab.
4Click
OK to return to the print window.
