Configuring Microsoft Printer Ports
If your workstation uses the Windows
®
98 or Me operating
systems, you must configure the port settings after installing the
printer.
With the Windows
NT
®
, Windows
®
2000, and XP operating
systems, you can specify the network path to the printer as part of
the Add Printer process.
Adding a New Port
1 From the Start menu, choose Settings > Printers.

2 Right-click the printer for which you want to add or
reconfigure port settings.
3 Choose
Properties from the short-cut menu.
