FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS
The document monitor, GL-DocMon, follows the progress of
each job from your computer desktop until the controller prints it
on the copier.
GL-DocMon consists of the document monitor, a printer status
component, and a shell extender.
n The document monitor provides event notification (alerts).
This means that if an event interrupts printing, such as a
paper out condition, the monitor pops up a message.
You can control which events cause GL-DocMon to pop up a
message.
n Printer status provides device summary information and
access to the print queues (public, private and proof print).
You access printer status from GL-DocMon or from the
Windows
®
operating system Printers folder. From the print
queues you can perform other tasks, such as deleting,
pausing, and releasing print jobs.
n The shell extender adds the item TOSHIBA GL Printer
Status
to the menu you can access when you click the
printer icon in the operating system’s Printers folder.
Note: GL-DocMon monitors only documents printed to the
SC-2, GL-1010 and GL-1020 TOSHIBA controllers (using a
TOSHIBA printer driver). Also, the program must be running
for monitoring to occur.
