TheC6455devicesupportsAdvancedEventTriggering(AET).Thiscapabilitycanbeusedtodebug
complexproblemsaswellasunderstandperformancecharacteristicsofuserapplications.AETprovides
thefollowingcapabilities:
•HardwareProgramBreakpoints:specifyaddressesoraddressrangesthatcangenerateeventssuch
ashaltingtheprocessorortriggeringthetracecapture.
•DataWatchpoints:specifydatavariableaddresses,addressranges,ordatavaluesthatcangenerate
eventssuchashaltingtheprocessorortriggeringthetracecapture.
•Counters:counttheoccurrenceofaneventorcyclesforperformancemonitoring.
