CAMA/E911 Installation
Configuration
The CAMA/E911 feature will only work in conjunction with TN429D CO trunk circuit packs (or
later suffix).
Port Networks (PNs) that include TN429D circuit packs used to interface to CAMA trunks may
require some CPTR resources to be either TN744E V2 or TN2182C circuit packs, since TTR/
CPTR or General Purpose Tone Receiver (GPTR) resources are selected from the pool
available in the PN when needed.
Hardware Setup
To set up the CAMA/911 hardware:
1. Insert the TN429D or later CO trunk circuit pack in any available port slot.
2. Be sure the TN744E Call Classifier - Detector circuit pack is Vintage 2 or later.
3. Wire the CAMA trunk to the MDF (the trunk from the CO). Refer to the pinouts in
Table 42: Circuit Pack and Auxiliary Equipment Leads (Pinout Charts)
on page 174.
Administration Setup
To administer the system for CAMA/911 service:
1. At the prompt, type add trunk next and press Enter.
