4. Set the operating mode as described in the following table.
5. Disconnect the terminal from the data module and reconnect the data module to the system
cabling.
Setting the 7400B+ options
To set the options on a 7400B+ data module:
1. Set the DIP switches for the 7400B+ using Table 7
. The DIP switches are located inside the
unit. To access them
a. Remove the power cord from the unit.
b. Remove the cover from the top rear of the unit.
c. Set the dip switches.
d. Replace the cover.
e. Connect the power cord.The unit performs a self test.
2. If any switches were set in step 1, cycle the power to the data module so that the firmware
can read the new switch settings.

8400B+ Type AT&F and press Enter. Type ATS24=1 and
press Enter. Type AT&WØ and press Enter to
save the operating mode into non-volatile RAM.
7400A
7400B+
Type AT&F and press Enter. Type AT&WØ and
press Enter to save the operating mode into
non-volatile RAM.
