This section describes the procedures for either a self or C-LAN-distributed firmware download.
These procedures help you determine which method to use. The main differences between the
two methods are:
The high-level steps used to perform a self- or C-LAN-distributed firmware download are

C-LAN-distributed
download
The source circuit pack is always a C-LAN, either
TN799DP or TN799C.
Multiple target circuit packs of the same TN code
can be scheduled for download at a time.
Self download The source and target circuit packs are the same.
Each circuit pack must be scheduled for download
individually.
