4.3.6.4 exec-timeout
Use this command to set the interval that the system waits for user input before
terminating the current session. Use the no form to restore the default.
Syntax
exec-timeout [seconds]
no exec-timeout
seconds - Integer that specifies the number of seconds.
(Range: 0 - 65535 seconds; 0: no timeout)
Default Setting
CLI: No timeout
Telnet: 10 minutes

Command Usage
■ If user input is detected within the timeout interval, the session is kept open;
otherwise the session is terminated.
■ This command applies to both the serial console and Telnet connections (but
you cannot disable the timeout for Telnet).
Example
To set the timeout to two minutes, enter this command:
4.3.6.5 password-thresh
Use this command to set the password intrusion threshold that limits the number of
failed login attempts. Use the no form to remove the threshold value.
