Clearing a paper jam outside the drum unit
1. Cut off the jammed paper and remove it through the nearest opening
(See “Locating the paper jam” on page 3.).
2. Cut the paper before the tractors.
3. Open the tractor and back tension covers and detach the paper from
the tractor pins.
4. Remove the paper from the tractors, stacker, or other accessible
section where the paper can be removed easily.
Note: In case of a paper jam when printing, the paper removal
direction is limited because there is non-fused toner on the paper
(See “Removing non-fused paper” on page 6.).
5. Check that there is no paper left in each section.
6. Close each opened section slowly.
